The Bahrain Chamber, through its SME Support Department, has launched "Tojjar Talk", a dedicated communication and feedback platform designed to provide business owners with a unified channel to submit opinions, feedback, suggestions, and inquiries, while enabling them to track the progress of their requests through to completion. The initiative aims to strengthen direct engagement with Chamber members, enhance responsiveness to their needs, and support the continued development of Bahrain's business environment.
Bahrain Chamber chairman Nabeel Kanoo announced that the number of applicants for membership in the 12 sectoral committees for the 31st term of the board of directors reached 644, representing an 84 per cent increase compared to the previous term, which saw 350 applicants.
The Joint Economic Committee between the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry held its 51st meeting, marking the Committee’s first meeting under the new composition of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce delegation was headed by H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, while the Bahrain Chamber delegation was headed by Nabeel Kanoo, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.
Mr. Isa Murad, Director of the Small and Medium Enterprises Support and Members’ Complaints Department at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, affirmed the Chamber’s continued efforts to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and enhance the business environment through the role carried out by the Department of SME Support and Complaints. The Department successfully resolved 88% of the total complaints it received up to the end of June 2026, reflecting the Chamber’s commitment to strengthening direct communication with business owners and providing practical solutions to the challenges they face.
The Bahrain Chamber, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, organized a panel discussion titled “Enhancing the Role of Women Entrepreneurs in Land Transport” at the Chamber’s headquarters. The event was attended by a number of officials, representatives from the public and private sectors, women entrepreneurs, and stakeholders interested in the transport and logistics sector.
Board member of the Bahrain Chamber, Jameel Al Ghaneh, affirmed that the construction and contracting sector is one of the key drivers of economic and investment activity, given its direct connection to development projects, infrastructure, and urban development, as well as its role in supporting numerous related economic sectors.
