The program reflects the joint efforts of the Bahrain Chamber and the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute to support Bahrain’s business environment and promote legal awareness within the business community. It seeks to enhance business owners’ ability to make informed decisions based on a sound understanding of the laws and regulations governing commercial activities. The program focuses on providing traders, entrepreneurs, business owners, and SMEs with essential legal knowledge relevant to the different stages of a business, from establishment and contracts to partnerships, commercial obligations, protection of rights, and the mitigation of legal risks and disputes.
Acting Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Legal Affairs Department at the Bahrain Chamber, Dr. Shaima Abdullah Juma, said that the launch of the “Protect Your Business” forms part of the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to enhance legal awareness within the business community and provide traders and business owners with the knowledge needed to protect their investments from the early stages of establishing their businesses.
She noted that cooperation with the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute reflects the Chamber’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with specialized national institutions, contributing to a safe and stable business environment. She also stressed that traders’ understanding of their legal rights and obligations is a key factor in the success and sustainability of commercial businesses, particularly amid the continued growth of entrepreneurship and SMEs in the Kingdom.
For his part, Director of the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute, Judge Dr. Riyad Mohammed Seyadi, highlighted the importance of the program in light of the legal challenges that startups and SMEs may face, particularly those related to business establishment, contracts, commercial obligations, and the protection of rights. He explained that the program seeks to mitigate such risks by simplifying legal knowledge and linking it to practical practices and real-world experiences in the business environment, thereby enabling participants to anticipate legal risks and avoid disputes.
The program will feature educational materials, online lectures, and a series of in-person and online seminars from September to December 2026, expanding access to legal guidance and strengthening awareness among the business community.
