Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Sameer Nass emphasized that the strong strategic partnership between Bahrain and the EU is founded on deep and ongoing bilateral cooperation at all levels. He highlighted the importance of continuing joint efforts to enhance relations to meet the aspirations and benefits of both sides. This came during his meeting with Dr. Thomas Juergensen, Minister Counsellor and Head of the Trade & Economic Affairs Section at the EU Delegation in Riyadh.

This came during his participation in U.S.-GCC 5th Trade and Investment Dialogue, held by the American Chamber of Commerce as part of his official visit to the United States of America.
First Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Khalid Najibi, stressed the importance of strengthening ties with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) – Jiangsu, to bolster international trade. He emphasized the need to foster the private sector and economies of Bahrain and China through enhanced collaboration and joint ventures aimed at expanding trade activities. Despite bilateral trade surpassing $2 billion in 2023, he emphasized significant future opportunities to further enrich commercial exchanges. This came as he received a Chinese delegation headed by Vice Chairman of CCPIT- Jiangsu, Cong Sufeng at the chamber’s headquarters, in the presence of board members of the Bahrain chamber.
President of the Union of Arab Chambers, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber Sameer Nass, called for the need to identify the challenges and obstacles facing global trade at the present time and ways to overcome them by creating a fair and multilateral trading system that allows developing countries to exploit their local resources to face the current and future crises. He added that the World Trade Organization (WTO) has a crucial role in developing concepts and solutions for these crises, in addition to its main mission of facilitating the movement of global trade and ensuring its stability in a way that is consistent with the needs of economic development and helps overcome the challenges facing global markets.
Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sameer Abdullah Nass, emphasized the Chamber's constant effort and work to enhance the economic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and global markets, and to attract Swiss companies to work in the Kingdom, especially in promising areas such as biotechnology, medical technology, nanotechnology, clean technology, renewable energy, financial technology (FinTech) and financial investment, and value-added projects, in addition to contributing to the development of the solid bilateral relations between Bahrain and Switzerland, and enhancing the volume of trade exchange, based on the economic capabilities and potentials of both sides, and their important strategic location, where Switzerland's geographical location in the center of the most important European countries has made it one of the most important European transportation routes and has given it a prominent economic position, while the Kingdom of Bahrain represents a main gateway to the Gulf market.
In a significant international achievement for the Kingdom of Bahrain, the International Labor Organization (ILO) during its 112th session has announced the appointment of Sonia Janahi, member of the Bahrain Chamber Board of Directors, as a regular member of the ILO Governing Body, making her the first Arab businesswoman to hold this prestigious position since the ILO's establishment.
