Speaking at the meeting Nass praised the bilateral relation between Bahrain and South Africa, stressing on opportunity to enhance bilateral trade, especially in promising sectors such as food security and pharmaceuticals. He noted the modest trade volume, which stood at 95.3 million USD as of 2024, expressing the keenness of the Bahraini private sector to push trade levels to further heights. Nass also stressed that the opening of direct routes between both countries will significantly contribute to invigorating trade, tourism, and partnerships.
For his part Ambassador Magabe reiterated pride in the fraternal relation between Bahrain and South Africa, voicing optimism in enhancing trade and partnerships, particularly given existing opportunities in key sectors, as well as Bahrain’s strategic location at the heart of the GCC, serving as a gateway to regional and international markets.
Also present at the meeting were Bahrain Chamber’s First vice-chairman, Khalid Najibi, Second vice-Chairman, Mohammed Al Kooheji, vice-Treasurer Waleed Kanoo, and Executive Bureau member, Bassim Al Saie.
