Kanoo expressed pride in Bahrain’s steadfast position under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in standing alongside Saudi Arabia. He noted that this position reflects the deep-rooted historical ties between the two countries and the solidarity of their leaderships and peoples in safeguarding regional security and stability.
“Saudi Arabia’s security and stability are fundamental to the security and prosperity of the Gulf. Given its economic weight and regional and international standing, the Kingdom is a key partner in the region’s development. The security of its infrastructure, facilities and trade routes directly affects regional economic interests, market stability and the continued flow of goods and services,” Kano said.
He condemned attacks on civilian and economic infrastructure, warning that they threaten public safety, livelihoods and development gains. Such attacks also disrupt trade and supply chains and increase transportation, insurance and production costs. He called for a responsible international response to halt these attacks, protect civilian infrastructure and secure maritime navigation, while supporting diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation and preserve regional stability.
Kano expressed confidence in Saudi Arabia’s ability and that of its institutions to overcome challenges and safeguard its achievements. He emphasized that strong institutions, effective crisis management and GCC coordination are essential to strengthening investor confidence and ensuring economic continuity.
“Safeguarding investor confidence requires a clear stance against attacks and sustained efforts to ensure business continuity and the smooth flow of trade. Investors and businesses need the assurance that Gulf states stand united in protecting their security and can leverage their capabilities and partnerships to maintain economic stability and meet the needs of their communities,” he added.
Kano concluded by stressing that protecting Saudi Arabia’s security and stability safeguards shared interests and the foundations of trade, investment and employment across the Gulf. He affirmed that GCC unity and coordinated efforts are essential to protecting the region’s achievements, strengthening economic resilience and sustaining development and prosperity.
