Bahrain Chamber receives a high-level Hong Kong delegation

First Vice-Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Khalid Najibi in the presence of Second vice-Chairman, Mohamed Alkooheji and board member, Ahmed Alsaloom, received on Sunday March 3rd, 2024 at the Chamber’s headquarters, a high-level Hong Kong delegation presided over by the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Algermon Yau who was accompanied by the Ambassador of Bahrain to China, Dr. Mohammed Ghassan Sheikho, Administrative assistant to the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Kerr Li, other officials from the Bureau, and representatives of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai.

Speaking at the meeting, Najibi hailed the bilateral relation between Bahrain and Hong Kong across all fields, particularly economic cooperation.  He stressed on the significance of fostering stronger ties and promoting mutually beneficial economic partnerships.  He underlined the importance of joining efforts to explore and exploit untapped opportunities as well as organizing B2B meetings to encourage liaison and stimulate investments. Najibi also gave a brief about the Bahrain Chamber and its role in Bahrain’s economic landscape.

For his part, Yau commended Bahrain's prosperity and growth across all sectors, highlighting that the purpose of the meeting is to explore business opportunities, foster partnerships and trade, and enhance economic cooperation. He emphasized that through joint ventures and collaborative endeavors in sectors such as tourism, education, logistics, trade, and finance, both countries can achieve significant growth and development.
