During Omani-Bahraini Economic Forum in Muscat, Najibi emphasizes commitment to enhancing economic collaboration

The Omani-Bahraini Business Forum was officially launched in Muscat, organized by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event attracted prominent business leaders and investors from both countries.  First Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Khaled Mohammed Najibi led the forum on the Bahraini side, while Chairman of the Oman Chamber, Sheikh Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, represented Oman.

The forum focused on enhancing economic and investment cooperation between Bahrain and Oman, exploring partnership opportunities across various sectors, including construction, real estate, industry, energy, and technology. Discussions also addressed how to streamline procedures and exchange expertise in priority economic fields. Key sectors highlighted included banking, retail, communications, technology, healthcare, logistics, food, and finance.

Najibi emphasized the forum's significance in strengthening economic ties, stating, "This meeting of brotherly nations is not merely an economic event but a bridge of cooperation and mutual belief that the prosperity of one strengthens the other." He noted that the forum reflects the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, showcasing their commitment to advancing bilateral relations.

In his speech, Najibi previewed Bahrain's economic journey over the past 200 years, transforming from an agriculture-based economy to a hub for pearls and logistics, and eventually to a leader in financial services and digital economy. He highlighted the importance of adaptability, diversification, and investing in human capital as key lessons learned.

Sheikh Faisal also underscored the forum's role in promoting bilateral cooperation, stating that it serves as a vital step toward enhancing relations between the two nations. He welcomed the strategic partnership represented by the Omani-Bahraini company, which aims to deepen collaboration across various economic sectors.

The forum was enriched by discussions on future visions, with a focus on aligning Bahrain's Vision 2030 with Oman’s Vision 2040, creating a platform for real projects and investments that would benefit both nations.
