This came during his meeting with Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Rami Saleh Wreikat Al Adwan, and Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mohammed Rais Hassan Sarwar. The meeting discussed ways to develop economic and trade relations and explore further investment and cooperation opportunities.
During the meeting, the two ambassadors extended their sincere congratulations to the Chairman of the Chamber and the members of the Board of Directors on their election for the 31st term, wishing them success in carrying out their responsibilities. They also expressed their aspiration to strengthen cooperation with the Bahrain Chamber in a manner that supports the development of economic relations and expands partnership opportunities between the business communities of the two countries.
Kanoo noted that Bahrain-Jordan relations are witnessing continued growth across various fields, particularly in trade and investment, supported by the two countries’ conducive economic environments and promising opportunities for cooperation. He explained that bilateral trade between Bahrain and Jordan reached approximately USD 156 million in 2025, with exports and imports distributed relatively evenly, reflecting a positive balance of trade and the strength of economic relations between the two countries.
He also highlighted promising investment opportunities that could serve as a foundation for expanding cooperation, particularly in education, information and communications technology, healthcare, energy, and agriculture, contributing to shared economic development.
Regarding relations with the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Kanoo highlighted the promising prospects for further cooperation, noting that bilateral trade reached approximately USD 39.1 million in 2025, recording slight growth compared to the previous year. He emphasized the importance of diversifying Bahraini exports and strengthening their presence in the Bangladeshi market.
Kanoo stressed the importance of focusing on a number of priority sectors for cooperation, including food security, information technology, renewable energy, medical industries, textiles, and agribusiness, given the promising opportunities these sectors offer to expand economic and investment cooperation.
For his part, Ambassador Al Adwan emphasized the importance of the growing economic and trade relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, praising their continued development as a reflection of the deep fraternal ties and shared interests between the two countries. He also commended the prominent role played by the Bahrain Chamber in supporting and developing these relations.
Ambassador Sarwar expressed his appreciation for the level of economic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, praising the vital role played by the Bahrain Chamber in strengthening engagement between the two countries’ business communities and supporting initiatives that contribute to expanding cooperation and joint investment opportunities.
