Kanoo Meets Bohra Society, Emphasizes Private Sector Collaboration

Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Nabeel Kanoo, received Chairman of the Bohra Society in Bahrain, Huthaifa Noormani, accompanied by several members of the Society. The meeting was attended by the Chamber’s First Vice Chairman, Yousif Salahuddin, the Second Vice Chairman, Nawaf Al Zayani, as well as several Board members. The meeting came as part of the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to strengthen engagement with the various components of the business community and to explore avenues for supporting and advancing commercial activities.

During the meeting, Kanoo welcomed the delegation and commended the longstanding and influential role played by Bohra merchants in supporting Bahrain’s commercial landscape, as well as their continued contributions to stimulating various economic sectors. He reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with all segments of the private sector.

 

The discussions also addressed key topics related to enhancing the business environment and explored opportunities to strengthen cooperation in ways that support business growth and expand investment prospects. In addition, several challenges facing certain commercial activities were reviewed, along with mechanisms to address them in coordination with the relevant authorities.

 

Kanoo emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to listening to the views and feedback of merchants and conveying them to the competent authorities in a manner that contributes to improving the business environment and enhancing its competitiveness. He also underscored the importance of unified and coordinated efforts among all private sector stakeholders.

 

For his part, Noormani expressed his appreciation for the vital role played by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry in supporting the private sector. He affirmed the Bohra Society’s commitment to continuing its contributions to the Kingdom’s economic development and to strengthening its role in supporting commercial activities.

 

Both sides highlighted the importance of maintaining continuous communication and coordination, in a way that supports the advancement of the commercial sector and promotes its growth and sustainability in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
