Commerce and Industry to take Businesses Global

In accordance with its commitment to foster the expansion of Bahrain-based enterprises, Export Bahrain has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) with the aim of increasing business facilitations and providing the essential and integral support for Bahrain-based businesses to access global markets through Export Bahrain solutions.

Within the framework of the agreement, Export Bahrain and BCCI will unify their efforts to bolster the cornerstones of the business community in Bahrain through the exchange of knowledge, statistics, market regulations, expertise, research, and mutual exchange of delegations to augment exports of national products and services. The strategic partnership will serve the exporters in the Kingdom of Bahrain to utilize the facilitations provided through the diversified range of services and solutions offered by Export Bahrain to support the internationalization of businesses.

Moreover, the MoU will enable the seamless access of Bahrain-based businesses to regional and international markets through seminars, webinars, workshops, trade exhibitions across multiple sectors, and B2B facilitations to support the promotion of Made in Bahrain products and services and ease their access to international markets by the two parties.

Ms. Safa Sharif Abdulkhaliq, Chief Executive Officer of Export Bahrain, emphasized the importance of advancing the areas of joint cooperation between Export Bahrain and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighting the advancement it will lead to in achieving the goals of sustainable development for the Kingdom of Bahrain. She further added, “This partnership will bring higher opportunities to accelerate export growth and, in the process, foster a robust development of Bahrain-based businesses.”

On his part, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Abdulla Bader Al Sada, outlined the necessity of building resilient partnerships, stating that this strategic partnership with Export Bahrain will assist in developing the business climate effectively. He further underlined, “The agreement comes in translation to our strategy at BCCI which concentrates on empowering national enterprises to compete on local and international spheres through the various products offered by Export Bahrain.”

Al-Sada explained that the Chamber has put improving the business environment and maximizing its role among its work priorities, in a bid to stimulate the participation of the private sector in supporting global economic partnerships by providing all means of support to achieve the goals of sustainable economic development.  He reinstated the keenness of the Chamber on developing commercial partnerships and enhancing the presence of local businesses in international markets in order to achieve the goals of the economic recovery plan and the objectives of Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030.
