The Arab Economic Forum honors the Union of Arab Chamber’s Chairman

The 28th edition of the Arab Economic Forum being held in Lebanon, honored the Chairman of Bahrain Chamber, Chairman of the Union of Arab Chambers Mr Sameer Nass.

The forum, themed “Lebanon, the road to oil”, was held under the auspices of Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Abul Gheit in addition to over 350 officials from financial and economic authorities in Lebanon and the Arab region.


The forum discussed developments in the investment climate in the Arab countries, the role of economic alienation, and the future of the Lebanese economy after the demarcation of the maritime borders in southern Lebanon.


Speaking at the event Mr Nass affirmed the support of the Gulf and Arab countries to Lebanon’s economic recovery journey, as stipulated by the mandate of the Union of Arab Chambers, which aims at reinforcing bilateral trade and promoting economic integration among its member states. He vowed consolidating efforts to encourage the flow of trade and investments to Lebanon, stressing the economic potentials of the country and its strategic location, which qualify it to become a logistics hub for Arab, regional, and international trade.
