Bahrain Chamber receives newly appointed Ambassador of Bahrain to Thailand

Nass: Volume of trade exchange with Thailand grew by 14% in 2024

Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sameer Nass, emphasized the depth of economic and trade relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Thailand. He noted the chamber's commitment to developing these relations by encouraging communication between Bahraini and Thai business owners, which contributes to building quality partnerships and opening new horizons for mutual investments. This came during his reception of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Thailand, Khalil Yaqoub Al-Khayat.


Nass explained that trade exchange between Bahrain and Thailand exceeded $384 million in 2024, marking a 14% increase compared to 2023. He expressed the chamber's aspiration to raise this figure by enhancing communication channels and strengthening partnerships in promising economic sectors. He highlighted that the chamber's hosting of trade delegations from Thailand and other countries exemplifies its role as a platform for communication among business communities and reinforces Bahrain's position as an attractive investment destination.


For his part, Ambassador Al-Khayat praised the important role played by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry in enhancing cooperation between Bahraini and Thai traders, confirming his commitment to intensifying communication and active collaboration with the chamber to elevate mutual trade relations to broader horizons.
