Al Kooheji welcomed H.E Hammaren to the Bahrain Chamber and highlighted the Chamber’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with the European Union. He noted that the Chamber has great ambitions to enhance collaboration, particularly through the establishment of a European Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain, which would serve as a vital platform for expanding trade relations, facilitating joint ventures, and fostering mutual investment opportunities.
He further emphasized that the GCC region offers vast potential in diverse sectors, particularly in areas such as digital transformation, sustainability, and innovation, fields where European expertise and investment could play a critical role in driving mutual growth.
For his part, H.E Hammaren expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and commended the Bahrain Chamber’s proactive vision. He explained that his visit aimed to assess and clarify the steps needed to move forward with the establishment of the European Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain. He emphasized his interest in ensuring a clear framework for cooperation and underscored the importance of fostering genuine partnerships between Bahrain and the European Union to facilitate trade and attract European investment to the Kingdom.
Both sides expressed their commitment to maintaining close coordination and to working jointly towards establishing the European Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain as a key platform to strengthen economic ties between Bahrain, the GCC, and the EU
