This came during his meeting with a trade delegation from the Turkish Electro Technology Exporters’ Association (TET) on 16 November 2025 at the Chamber’s headquarters.
Kanoo welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of the Chamber’s history, services, and its role in supporting Bahrain’s private sector. He highlighted that the steady growth in trade exchange between Bahrain and Turkey, particularly in the electronics and electrical sectors, emphasizing the importance of advancing cooperation to unlock greater opportunities for both sides. Kanoo stressed that the Bahrain Chamber stands ready to support Turkish companies, welcoming innovative technologies and manufacturers that can contribute to the Kingdom’s industrial transformation goals.
For his part, board member of the Bahrain chamber, Yaqoob Alawadhi highlighted Bahrain’s attractive incentives for foreign investment, including tax exemptions, a highly skilled workforce, wage support programs, and a wide network of free trade agreements. He also emphasized Bahrain’s strategic geographic location, which makes it an ideal gateway for Turkish companies seeking access to Saudi Arabia and wider GCC markets.
The delegation expressed strong interest in engaging directly with Bahraini companies in the electronics and electrical industries. The meeting discussed potential areas of cooperation and future partnership opportunities.
