The program aims to enhance legal awareness among traders, business owners, entrepreneurs, and SMEs, and equip them with essential knowledge of their rights and obligations to help protect their businesses and support their sustainability.
The first seminar featured Director of the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute, Judge Dr. Riyadh Mohammed Siyadi, who addressed “Legal Protection and Business Sustainability,” alongside a Senior Investor Services Specialist at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce’s Investors Centre, who presented “The Legal Framework for Protecting Investors and Their Businesses in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
Acting Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Legal Affairs Department at Bahrain Chamber, Dr. Shaima Abdullah Juma, affirmed that the program forms part of the Chamber’s efforts to strengthen legal awareness within the business community and provide business owners with the knowledge and tools needed to protect their investments from the early stages of establishment.
She noted that a sound understanding of the legal framework governing commercial activities is essential to making informed decisions throughout a business’s lifecycle, including establishment, legal structures, contracts, commercial obligations, employment relations, and the protection of rights.
Judge Dr. Siyadi highlighted the importance of simplifying legal knowledge and linking it to practical business experiences, particularly for startups and SMEs. He noted that the program will help participants better understand their rights and obligations, anticipate legal risks, and reduce potential disputes.
The program will feature a series of in-person and online seminars from September to December 2026, providing wider access to its content and strengthening legal awareness across Bahrain’s business community.
