During the meeting, Kanoo affirmed the depth of the bilateral relations and longstanding historical and economic ties between Bahrain and the United States, highlighting the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation between the two countries’ business communities and opening new avenues for trade and investment partnerships, particularly in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and expanding import and export opportunities. Such efforts would contribute to advancing mutual interests and supporting economic growth.
The two sides also discussed a number of topics of mutual interest and ways to strengthen cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries. They also reviewed available investment and trade opportunities and mechanisms to encourage Bahraini and American companies to establish high-value partnerships that contribute to increasing bilateral trade and investment.
For his part, Al Zaabi, expressed his commitment to continuing to strengthen cooperation and coordination with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and further developing trade and economic relations between the two friendly countries. He praised the Chamber’s role in supporting the private sector and enhancing the business environment, as well as its efforts to expand economic and investment cooperation and attract further business opportunities that serve mutual interests.
