The President of the Union of Arab Chambers, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber Sameer Nass, said that the volume of Bahrain’s exports to Germany amounted to 86.28 million dinars during 2022, registering a 43% growth from its level in 2021, noting that the most prominent export commodity if aluminum. This came during his participation in the 26th Arab-German Economic Forum held in Berlin, which hosts Arab and German diplomats, decision makers and business owners to discuss cooperation opportunities.
The President of the Union of Arab Chambers, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber Sameer Nass underlined the importance of integration among Arab economies, and the need to diversify the industries and products they offer to commensurate with the capabilities of the region. This came during an address he delivered before the 49th session of the Arab Labor Organization’s Conference (ALO) being held in Cairo under the auspices of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Bahrain Chamber’s Chief Executive Officer Dr Abdulla Al Sada received at his office at the Chamber’s premises on Thursday 18th May 2023, Ethiopian Consul General Shiferaw Jena, where both sides deliberated about Bahrain-Ethiopia business relations and means to enhance trade exchange.
Bahrain Chamber’s First vice-Chairman Khalid Najibi affirmed the keenness of Bahrain on enhancing the sustainability of economic growth by developing policies that encourage investments and generate more qualitative opportunities, noting that the Bahrain Chamber works in conjunction with government on implementing a comprehensive strategy for the development of economic cooperation between Bahrain and various countries of the world, in a bid to increase trade exchange, enhance investment cooperation and exchange experiences. This came during a meeting held at the Chamber’s premises on Tuesday 16th May 2023, with a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headed by Ms. Asmaa Al-Janaini, which comes within the framework of the existing cooperation between Bahrain and the IMF on exchanging experiences on developing mechanisms to serve development goals and national priorities.
The Joint Bahraini-Saudi Business Council held its 5th meeting in Manama on Sunday 14th May 2023, co-chaired by Bahrain Chamber’s Chairman Sameer Nass, heading the Bahraini side, and Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al Otaishan, heading the Saudi side, in the presence of Saudi Minister of Investment Engr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Faleh, Bahrain’s Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers Hasan bin Mujeb Al Huwaizi, members of the joint council from both sides, and several officials.
Bahrain Chamber’s Second Vice-President Mr Mohammed Al Kooheji stressed the importance of activating and developing joint Bahraini-Japanese economic and investment relations in various fields and levels, praising the distinguished bilateral and economic relations between both countries, as Japan is the eighth largest import partner to Bahrain and 21st export partner.
