He praised Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa’s remarks to the legislative authority on the importance of national unity and readiness, affirming that the business community remains committed to working alongside state institutions to safeguard economic stability.
Since the onset of the crisis, the chamber has maintained direct communication with business owners and government bodies to monitor shipping, supply chains, and sectoral needs while resolving operational hurdles.
Emergency and business continuity plans were activated to ensure uninterrupted services, with a specific focus on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through initiatives like the Labour Fund’s (Tamkeen) ‘Musanada’ programme to support liquidity, reduce burdens, and protect local jobs.
Mr Kanoo called for further strengthening government-private sector partnerships, diversifying supply sources, and raising economic preparedness to ensure long-term business sustainability and market stability.
