The meeting discussed ways to strengthen economic, trade, and investment relations between the two friendly countries, as well as opportunities to expand areas of cooperation that serve mutual interests and support the growth of bilateral trade and investment.
Kanoo emphasized the importance of continuing to develop Bahrain-Korea economic relations, highlighting the Republic of Korea’s advanced expertise across a number of vital sectors and the promising opportunities for building strategic partnerships between the business communities of the two countries. Such partnerships, he noted, would contribute to fostering innovation and enhancing economic cooperation.
The two sides also explored cooperation opportunities in several priority sectors, including technology, healthcare, automotive manufacturing, and artificial intelligence, stressing the importance of leveraging Korea’s advanced expertise in these fields to support knowledge transfer, capacity building, innovation, and the adoption of modern technological solutions.
The two sides further reviewed trade exchange indicators between Bahrain and Korea and discussed ways to capitalize on available opportunities to increase bilateral trade and investment. They also emphasized the importance of encouraging engagement between business owners from both sides and exploring promising economic opportunities that could contribute to sustainable economic growth and open new avenues for cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
