Kanoo: The Role of the Federation of Gulf Chambers in Representing the Private Sector Regionally and Internationally

Chairman of the Bahrain chamber, Nabeel Kanoo, received Secretary-General of the Federation of GCC Chambers, Saleh Hamad Al Sharqi, in the presence of the Chamber’s Chief Executive Officer, Atef Al Khaja, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the Bahrain Chamber and the Federation of GCC Chambers.

During the meeting, the Secretary-General extended his sincere congratulations to Kanoo on his election as President of the Bahrain Chamber, wishing him success in his new responsibilities during the upcoming administrative term. He expressed his hope that the Chamber would achieve further successes and qualitative accomplishments under his leadership, strengthening its leading role in supporting the private sector and serving the national economy. He also expressed confidence that the coming period would witness a significant advancement in the Chamber’s performance, contributing to enhancing the business environment and developing economic initiatives in line with the aspirations of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The meeting reviewed the key developments and achievements of the Federation of GCC Chambers in supporting the private sector and strengthening Gulf economic integration, as well as its initiatives to expand trade and investment cooperation among the countries of the region. The two sides also discussed the prospects for the next phase and efforts to further consolidate the GCC countries’ position as an influential economic hub internationally. They emphasized the importance of the Federation’s role in representing the private sector at both the Gulf and international levels and strengthening its presence as an integrated economic umbrella.

Kanoo expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Federation’s General Secretariat, affirming the Bahrain Chamber’s support for its initiatives. For his part, Al Sharqi praised the Chamber’s role and reaffirmed the Federation’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with its member chambers.
