Bahrain Chamber’s delegation participates in Joint Economic Commission in Hungary

As part of the official visit to Hungary presided over by Foreign Affairs Minister, Abdullatif Al Zayani, Bahrain Chamber’s delegation headed by the Chamber’s Vice - Chairman, Khalid Najibi participated on Tuesday 30th, January 2024 in the 2nd Hungarian – Bahraini Joint Economic Commission, which discussed joint business prospects and ways to streamline trade to meet the economic aspirations of both friendly countries.

During the commission, Najibi stressed the significance of initiating a strategic plan for ensuring food and water security which aims to foster the growth of the food industry by leveraging Hungary's advanced technological capabilities in agriculture. He also reaffirmed the Chamber’s support for all Hungarian businesses seeking to enter the Bahraini market.

He stated that it’s necessary to create a direct air bridge between Bahrain and Hungary to enhance the volume of trade between both countries, especially as Bahrain holds a significant position as a trade hub in the Middle East region.

Furthermore, he emphasized the significance of fostering academic collaboration between educational institutions in both countries, specifically in the realm of scientific research.

Earlier, Hungarian President, H.E Katalin Novak also received Bahrain’s delegation on the occasion of the Minister of Foreign affairs visit to Hungary to head the delegation of Bahrain at the 2nd Hungarian – Bahraini Joint Economic Commission.
