Oman Sustainability Week is a national platform hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Wealth (MoEM), focusing on sustainability in the areas of energy and water needs of the Sultanate, as well as environmental protection and a clear orientation towards the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and Oman Vision 2040, which aims to provide international and local knowledge, investment opportunities and best practices in energy, water and environmental sustainability. It also aims to consolidate and focus all conferences and exhibitions on sustainability in energy, water and the environment.
The largest event in East Africa and sub-Saharan Africa will witness the participation of 16 business and industry experts who will present their working papers on the current global trade patterns of the sector. The conference is expected to be attended by over 450 members of the Ethiopian Pulses, Oilseeds and Spices Exporters' Association, as well as suppliers of fertilizers, machines, and agricultural chemicals.
The survey's main objective is to gather information on practices that drive innovation and skills development by private sector enterprises, focusing on their alignment with the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The key findings of the survey will be included in ESCWA’s Annual SDG Review 2024. Please note that all information and data collected through this survey will be kept strictly confidential.
