Speaking at the meeting, Nass hailed the bilateral relation between Bahrain and Sri Lanka, noting the trade volume between both countries which stood at 46.1 million US dollars in 2024. Nass underscored that the trade volume does not reflect the potential between both countries, expressing the keenness of the Bahrain Chamber in joining forces with the embassy and relevant business authorities to further encourage trade, investments and partnerships, by means that reflect the aspirations and potentials of both countries and peoples.
The Sri Lankan ambassador gave a brief about the Sri Lankan economy, highlighting key promising sectors including ICT, manufacturing, ship building and food sector. She touched pace on her country’s keenness on diversifying its export and expanding its trade partnerships with friendly countries.
