Bahrain Chamber Receives UK Ambassador to Strengthen Economic and Trade Ties
Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Nabeel Kanoo received Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bahrain, Alastair Long to discuss ways to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two friendly countries.
Kanoo emphasized the importance of continued engagement between the business communities of Bahrain and the UK, as well as exploring mutual trade and investment opportunities to increase bilateral trade and develop economic partnerships.
The two sides also reviewed promising investment opportunities across several areas of mutual interest, including advanced manufacturing, life sciences, financial services, clean energy industries, creative industries, defence, and digital technologies, supporting new avenues for economic cooperation and strategic partnerships between the private sectors of both countries.
They highlighted the importance of building on the strong trade relations between Bahrain and the UK. The UK ranked as Bahrain’s 11th-largest import market and 38th-largest export market in 2025, reflecting the potential for further expansion of bilateral trade.
For his part, the Ambassador affirmed the UK’s commitment to further strengthening economic cooperation with Bahrain and capitalizing on available investment opportunities, particularly given the Kingdom’s attractive business environment and strategic location, which supports business growth and access to regional markets.
