The discussion focused on the existing business relations between Bahrain and Nigeria, highlighting a trade volume that reached $24.7 million in 2024. Both sides expressed a strong interest in enhancing bilateral trade and exploring untapped opportunities, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, agro-processing, and energy.
During the meeting, Nass outlined the Bahrain Chamber’s pivotal role in the Bahrain’s economic landscape and its commitment to fostering relations with brotherly and friendly countries, aiming to create more opportunities for local business owners.
Ambassador Jimoh shared insights into Nigeria's economic reforms and diversification efforts, emphasizing the potential for foreign investment in his country. He proposed that the Bahrain Chamber consider signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its Nigerian counterpart to facilitate collaboration between business owners, promote delegation exchanges, and organize joint business events aimed at strengthening trade and investment.
The meeting was also attended by Second Vice-Chairman, Mohammed Al Kooheji, Vice-Treasurer, Waleed Kanoo, and Board Member, Youssuf Salahuddin.
