Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Sameer Nass, led the Chamber’s delegation at the opening session of the 51st Arab Labor Conference. The delegation included Vice-treasurer of the Bahrain Chamber, Waleed Kanoo and Board Member, Sonya Janahi.

The conference addresses key topics, most notably economic diversification as a development path; promising Arab economies; inclusive social policies and their role in poverty reduction and economic integration; the importance of public-private partnerships; and the challenges of digitization in member states.

It will also review annexes related to the Organization’s constitutional and regulatory committees, including the Board of Directors, committees on trade union freedoms, women's labor affairs, and legal experts. In addition, the conference will discuss the Arab Entrepreneurship Strategy Project and the formation of the Organization’s governing bodies for the 2025–2027 period, including the Financial and Administrative Control Authority and the various specialized committees.

On this occasion, Nass affirmed that the Chamber’s participation reflects its commitment to supporting joint Arab action and contributing to policy-shaping efforts on labor issues across the region. He emphasized that the conference serves as an important platform for sharing experiences among member states, particularly in job creation and workforce development. He noted that empowering Arab youth and integrating them into the labor market is a strategic priority essential for societal stability and sustainable development. He praised the conference’s focus on promising economies and labor-related matters, stressing the importance of recommendations that expand production capacity and enhance public-private collaboration as critical steps to strengthen the Arab labor system and prepare it for future challenges.
