Bahrain Chamber leads a delegation to strengthen Arab-German economic ties

Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Sameer Nass, led Bahrain Chamber’s delegation to Germany, to participate in the 28th Arab-German Business Forum and the board meeting of the Arab-German Chamber (Ghorfa) in Berlin.

Speaking at the meeting, Nass emphasized the strategic importance of economic partnerships between Arab countries and Germany. He noted that trade between Germany and Arab nations reached €62.1 billion in 2023, underlining trade volume between Bahrain and Germany which reached $656 million in the same year.


Nass highlighted opportunities for deepening investment and expanding trade despite global economic challenges. He called for enhanced cooperation in the digital economy, which is vital for sustainable growth.
Additionally, the Chamber’s delegation participated in the 28th Arab-German Business Forum, which focused on sustainable integration.


In this regard, first vice-chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Khalid Najibi, noted Bahrain's appeal as an investment hub and its strategic position in the Gulf region. He stressed the need for enhanced economic ties with Germany, particularly in technology and renewable energy.


Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Chambers, Dr. Khaled Hanafy, emphasized the importance of moving beyond traditional trade to include technology transfer and joint investment for sustainable development.
