Bahrain Chamber honors the participants and top winners of “I-Cash”

The Bahrain Chamber hosted in cooperation with the Ministry of Education on Tuesday 21st February 2023, the honoring ceremony for the school teams that participated in the 4th edition of “I-Cash”, a competition where students pitch their business ideas, in a bid to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.

During the ceremony the patron of the event, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber Sameer Nass and the Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Services at the Ministry of Education Kefaya Habib Al-Anzoor awarded the top three winning teams, with Al Hekma International School team winning first place for its project “The Cocoon”;  Jid-Hafs Secondary Girls School team as the runner-up for its project “Taif”, while third place was clenched by Al Iman Schools-boys section team, for its project “Bahraini Leather, a Discarded Treasure”.

Speaking at the event, Mr Nass praised all the participating teams from public and private school, hailing the innovative ideas they had presented.  He underlined the importance of knowledge, experience, determination, passion and innovation for the success of businesses, while encouraging the youth to pursue their ambitions and play their aspired role in the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

It is worth noting that the panel of judges for the competition included 5 judges,  Sara Adel from Tamkeen;  Mariam Ishaq from Bahrain Development Bank (BDB); and from the Bahrain Chamber Al Hareth Al Atawi, Head of the IT and Digital Economy committee; Dr Amal Obaid, member of the Education and Training
