Bahrain Chamber holds a Bahraini-Indian business forum in Mumbai

The Bahrain Chamber in cooperation with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) organized on Thursday 16th March 2023 in Mumbai a Bahrain-India Business Forum, which witnessed wide participation from business owners, investors and officials from both sides.

Inaugurating the forum, Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla Adel Fakhro voiced pride in Bahrain-India historic ties and cooperation, stressing on the potentials to expand cooperation across promising sectors such as the ICT, health, food security, and education.  He underlined the role of the private sector in driving economic development and called to consolidate efforts to achieve mutual economic gains.

Speaking at the opening of the forum, Bahrain Chamber’s Second vice-Chairman Mohammed Al Kooheji reiterated pride in the deep-rooted tie that binds Bahrain and India, stressing on the history of trade between both friendly countries and the high-level cooperation across all fields.  Al Kooheji affirmed the importance of building on the success of Bahrain’s strategic partnership with India and exerting more efforts to take trade and investment to their optimal levels, by means that match the potentials of both countries and the aspirations of their leaderships, business communities and people. 

For her part the co-chairperson of the Federation of Indian Chambers-Maharashtra (FICCI) Ujjwala Singhania, expressed honor in receiving such high-level business delegation from Bahrain, which reflects the keenness of Bahrain’s business community on stepping-up business cooperation and trade with their Indian counterparts.  She affirmed that the Indian business community is equally keen on taking business ties with Bahrain to further heights and vowed exerting all efforts to further stimulate investments and joint ventures.  Ms. Singhania also underlined the importance of consolidating efforts between the Bahrain Chamber and (FICCI) to facilitate the endeavors of business owners at both sides.

It is worth noting that the Bahrain Chamber’s delegation is headed by Mohammed Al-Kooheji also  includes board members Ahmed Sabah Al-Saloom, Youssef Salahuddin, Abdulwahhab Yousef Al-Hawaj, Batool Mohammed Dadabai, Ahmed Yousef Ali, Yaqoub Al-Awadhi, and several committee members.
