The Bahrain Chamber and Egyptian Minister of Industry, Trade discuss prospects for strengthening trade

Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber Sameer Nass commended the deep-rooted tie between Bahrain and Egypt at all levels, expressing pride in existing Bahraini businesses in Egypt, most notably in the banking and real estate sectors, and Egyptian businesses in Bahrain, calling to exploit opportunities in food security and medicine security.

This came as he received at the Chamber’s premises on Wednesday 10th January 2024 an Egyptian delegation presided over by Egyptian Minister of Industry and Trade, Ahmed Sameer, who was accompanied by Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Reham Mohammed Khalil, in the presence of several board members.

The meeting underscored the importance of the Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development and its expected impact on member states in particular and the Arab region in general, stressing on the importance of capitalizing on such ambitious project to achieve sustainable industrial growth and enhance economic development and self-sufficiency, as well as enhancing industrial competitiveness.

The meeting also underlined the importance of liaising the Bahraini and Egyptian business communities by exchanging visits and holding joint business functions, highlighting the pivotal role of the private sector in driving economic growth and development.
