Bahrain Chamber Reconstitutes Bahraini Side of the Bahraini-Saudi Business Council
The Bahrain Chamber has announced the reconstitution of the Bahraini side of the Bahraini-Saudi Business Council, as part of its efforts to strengthen the role of the Bahraini private sector in joint economic councils and expand communication channels with economic partners in brotherly and friendly countries.
Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Nabeel Kanoo, chairs the Bahraini side of the Council. He said the reconstitution reflects the strong economic and strategic ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and their continued development across various fields.
Kanoo highlighted the Council’s role in facilitating direct engagement between business communities, exchanging expertise, exploring trade and investment opportunities, and fostering partnerships between Bahraini and Saudi companies.
He noted that Saudi Arabia is Bahrain’s largest trading partner and a key strategic market for Bahraini businesses, offering significant opportunities to expand mutual investment and cooperation.
The Council will also explore joint projects and opportunities across various sectors, identify challenges facing the private sector, and put forward recommendations to facilitate trade and investment and support Gulf economic integration.
Kanoo noted that the Council’s work is supported by the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, which provides a strategic framework for cooperation between the two countries and creates further opportunities for joint economic initiatives.
He added that the next phase will focus on bilateral meetings, economic forums and reciprocal visits, as well as strengthening connections between businesses and following up on areas of mutual interest.
Kanoo reaffirmed BCCI’s commitment to enabling the Council to translate economic opportunities into tangible projects and partnerships, strengthening the private sector’s contribution to economic development and advancing the shared interests of the business communities in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
